But when she visits the original movie’s star, a now-reclusive actress shrouded in mystery, the two women fall into a blood-soaked world of desire, fear, and delirium. The film stars Emmy Award-winning actress Hannah Einbinder (Hacks) alongside Gillian Anderson (The X-Files, Sex Education, Scoop), and was written and directed by Jane Schoenbrun (I Saw the TV Glow, We’re All Going to the World’s Fair). Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma marks Schoenbrun’s third feature, continuing a singular body of work that explores trans identity, media mythology and queer horror through a deeply personal lens.

Bunnylovr is the feature directorial debut for Katarina Zhu, who also stars as Rebecca. The film premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival and co-stars Rachel Sennott, who also produced.

Rose of Nevada had its world premiere at Venice Film Festival in 2025, and later had its North American premiere at Toronto International Film Festival in the same year. The film stars George MacKay (1917) and Callum Turner (Eternity, Rosebush Pruning).

The film screened at Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal where it won the award for Best Feature in 1999.
