
Canadian Screen Week 2026 will begin this Thursday, May 28, and will culminate with the 2026 Canadian Screen Awards. The ceremony will be hosted by Andrew Phung and broadcast on television and online on Sunday, May 31 at 8 p.m. on CBC, CBC Gem, Crave, CTV, Global, and STACKTV.
Excellence in Canadian television, film, and digital production will be honored over four days at the CBC Broadcast Centre in Toronto through a series of ceremonies. This year, 48 Quebec productions stand out by garnering at least one nomination: 18 in television and 30 in film.
11:30 a.m. – Children’s & Youth Television Awards, hosted by Devo Brown
6:00 p.m. – Cinematic Arts Awards, presented by Telefilm Canada with the support of Cineplex, hosted by Anne-Marie Withenshaw
Several Quebec feature films, and their craftspeople, are nominated, including Folichonneries, produced by Hany Ouichou, Laurie Pominville, and Eric K. Boulianne; Mille secrets mille dangers, produced by Kim McCraw and Luc Déry; Deux femmes en or, produced by Catherine Léger and Martin Paul-Hus; Out Standing, produced by Marcel Giroux and Julia Rosenberg; Comme le feu, produced by Galilé Marion-Gauvin; Où vont les âmes, produced by Étienne Hansez; and Gagne ton ciel, produced by Hany Ouichou.

Among the Quebec short film finalists are La jeune fille qui pleurait des perles, produced by Julie Roy, Marc Bertrand, and Christine Noël; Bread Will Walk, produced by Jelena Popović; Ibuka, Justice, produced by Mylène Augustin; Himalia, produced by Catherine Boily and Rosalie Chicoine Perreault; Les petites victoires, produced by Laurie Pominville; and Mes murs-mémoire by Axel Robin.
The film Mile End Kicks, co-produced by Zapruder Films Inc. (Ontario) and Banner House Inc. (Quebec), will receive the Sustainable Production Award, presented by CBC. Montrealer Mérédith Gonzalez-Bayard stood out in her role as green post manager through the implementation of sustainable practices integrated not only into production operations, but also into the creative and community approach of the project.

6:00 p.m. – Unscripted Television Awards, presented by Crave, hosted by Jess Allen
Among the Quebec finalists in the running, Sophie Charest, Nancy Audet, Jean-François Poisson, Shannon L’Hérault, Guillaume Rodrigue, Marie-Christine Pouliot, Richard Speer, and Stéphanie Thibault are all nominated for the production Who Killed the Montreal Expos? Francis Côté, Rémy Ouellet, Eric Young, Nathalie Brigitte Bustos, Denis Savard, Jacob Tierney, Mathieu Ouellet, and David Gauthier are nominated for their work on the series The Traitors Canada.
6:00 p.m. – Scripted Television Awards, hosted by Ennis Esmer and Jackie Pirico
Quebec finalists Louis Morissette, Louis-Philippe Drolet, Melanie Viau, Jacques Drolet, Jean-François Asselin, Céleste Parr, and Mathieu Laverdière are nominated for the series Plan B. Jacob Tierney, Peter Peter, Véronique Barbe, Arthur Tarnowski, Vincent Riendeau, Martin M Messier, Joe Scandella, Natalie Fleurant, Simon Meilleur, Eric Med Lagacé, Peter Lopata, Valéry Dufort-Boucher, Simon Devault, Philippe Massonnat, Christophe Trepanier, and Felix Arsenault are nominated for the series Heated Rivalry. Sophie Nélisse is nominated for this series in the Best Supporting Actor, Drama category.
8:00 p.m. – The 2026 Canadian Screen Awards ceremony, hosted by Andrew Phung and broadcast on CBC, CBC Gem, Crave, CTV, Global, and STACKTV.
During this evening, Hudson Williams will present the Radius Award, presented by MADE | NOUS, to actress Sophie Nélisse to highlight the scale of her international reach and the remarkable progression of her career.
François Arnaud is nominated in the Best Lead Actor, Drama Series category, presented by the Canada Media Fund, for the series Heated Rivalry.
In film, Eric K. Boulianne, Catherine Chabot, France Castel, Neil Elias, Patrick Hivon, Karine Gonthier-Hyndman, and Laurence Leboeuf are nominated in the Best Lead Performance, Comedy category. Noah Parker and Milya Corbeil Gauvreau are nominated in the Best Lead Performance, Drama category.
Gagne ton ciel, Folichonneries, as well as Mille secrets mille dangers are in the running for the Best Motion Picture award.
Karine Vanasse and Laurence Leboeuf will also take the stage to present an award.
