Coming to Mubi | March 2026

On 27 February 2026

March on MUBI arrives with a powerful duality: the quiet, observational mastery of contemporary documentary and the visceral roar of cinematic legends. From the volcanic shadows of Naples to the brutal intensity of the boxing ring, this month’s curation invites you to explore the thin line between reality and performance.

This month also honors International Women’s History Month with added titles to a special collection.

Naples is a city forever marked by the looming presence of Mount Vesuvius. Beneath the quiet threat of eruption, people go about their days: archaeologists unearth the past, children learn as the earth hums, firefighters wait for the next call.

From award-winning filmmaker Gianfranco Rosi comes Pompei: Below the Clouds, a striking and human portrait of Naples. While the volcano’s quiet threat lingers in the background, Rosi turns his lens toward the everyday rhythms of life that continue undisturbed. The film received its world premiere at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival and features music by Academy Award® winner Daniel Blumberg.

WOMEN MISBEHAVING COLLECTION

March is International Women’s History Month, an energetic season for celebrating female rebellion and nonconformity. The WOMEN MISBEHAVING collection honours the occasion with a distinctly playful edge. While you’ll find feminist films that challenge patriarchal structures, the focus is on the joy, freedom, and brattiness that accompany defiance.
