Bio: Temi Ojo is a microchip engineer-turned-filmmaker who worked in Silicon Valley for nearly a decade before concurrently earning an MBA and an MFA in Motion Pictures and TV with emphasis in Directing. His new script A MAN WITH A MISSING FACE won the SFFILM Sloan Science in Cinema Filmmaker Fellowship.

Logline: After a horrific car accident leaves him disfigured, Robert Chelsea becomes the first African American to undergo a full face transplant, embarking on a journey of recovery, forgiveness, and advocacy.

Bio: Daphne Joyce Wu is a Midwest-born, second-generation Chinese-American writer and filmmaker studying Film & Media Studies at Yale University. As the eldest daughter of Sichuanese immigrants, Daphne is passionate about amplifying minority voices in film.

Logline: In the heart of rural Wisconsin, an eight-year-old Chinese-American boy navigates the complexities of family, friendship, and identity, as he dreams of a life beyond the confines of his small town.

LITTLE CARP AT DRAGON’S GATE (Jeremy Hsing)

Bio: Jeremy Hsing is a humanistic sci-fi writer, mental health advocate, and 2nd-gen Taiwanese immigrant. Born on Leap Day, he uses his psychology background to craft worlds where characters undergo internal reckoning in search of emotional catharsis.

Logline: In a world where myth and reality intertwine, a young woman must confront her family’s dark past and her own identity to unlock the secrets of the Dragon’s Gate.
