“Can you do it remotely?”

In a not-so-distant future, love becomes as obsolete as yesterday’s technology. Human relationships erode, replaced by the promise of an instant and flawless connection. But what happens when love is a simple update you have to download?

This is the question asked by Oleg J. in his short film Asleep, selected at the Cannes Short Film Corner 2018. We follow Nicole, a woman who, tired of complex relationships, decides to get an artificial intelligence companion. A miracle solution?
