Owfieldius

La légende d’Owfieldius

An excerpt from the youth trilogy Professor Acarus Dumdell by author and director Alessandro Cassa, published by Alice Éditions, and produced with the participation of the Government of Quebec, has just been brought to the big screen in the form of a short film. This innovative digital animation project uses rotoscoping techniques and was carried out with around thirty elementary school students, aged 8 to 12.

The animated short was produced by the animation studios of Productions du 3 juin inc., and directed with and by children aged 8 to 12 attending the Léopold-Gravel School Daycare Service. This is a 17 minute, professional film. But as part of a special project, it was co-written by young people. They also participated in production tasks (lighting, clapperboard, camera, narration, etc.). And these are 8 young people who play in the film.
