This program will allow racialized, Black, Indigenous, or LGBTQ2S+ screenwriters to perfect their pitching skills. The jury, composed of screenwriter, director, and producer Josiane Blanc and director and screenwriter Kimberley Surin, selected the candidates last week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The members of the Screenwriters&#8217; Pitch &#8211; Cinema cohort are<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>David Couture<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Flavien Demeure<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ismael Mossadeq<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Isnard Delice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jonathan Cortes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Karan Archana<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Katia Caf\u00e9-F\u00e9brissy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mathieu Blanchard<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Xu-Ming Lor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In this edition, the screenwriters will benefit from a legal clinic (contract negotiation workshop by SARTEC), pitch training with the chair of the board of Makila and co-founder of Pitch Cuban Hat, Giulia Frati, a visual design workshop, presented by POP, culture + digital to perfect their pitch presentation, and a discussion with audiovisual industry mentors accompanied by feedback on their screenplays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The program will conclude with a pitch in front of producers looking for projects, on March 11, 2025.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Canadian Academy of Cinema and Television &#8211; Quebec section has just unveiled the nine selected participants of the fourth cohort of the Screenwriters&#8217; Pitch &#8211; Cinema, presented by Telefilm Canada and supported by SARTEC and INIS.
